Off day. Finally.
We spent the last organizational off day driving from Savannah to Port St. Lucie when Kyle was called up.
We had high hopes for a fun beach day, but the weather here has been relentlessly dreary this past week. None the less, we jumped into the Atlantic and played on the sand. The water here is very warm, something we're both not accustomed to after growing up with the Pacific.
We saw Despicable Me 2 at a local theatre. The first Despicable Me is one of our favorites to watch with Addie monkey.
We napped. A lot.
And for dinner we went to a little local joint, the New England Fish Market, and enjoyed a filling dinner of haddock, crab and clams. (We still have a lot of work to do before we're fully versed in fish.) Kyle and I shamelessly ate TWO dozen clams.
After dinner we headed back to our new casa to watch the All Star Game. Kyle and I rarely are able to watch baseball together, so I jump when the opportunity comes. Snuggled up on the couch in our Mets clothes, we watched the players at our own Citi field, and talked "mad" baseball. Kyle has even faced one of the pitchers who was selected to play this year! It's so crazy to think he could be out there as soon as next year, and with that thought in out minds, we soaked up every last minute of the game.
