We're nerdy people. I've been obsessed with space my whole life, I even remember making a huge paper mâché Mars planet with a rendition of each crater and canyon for a science fair. My kid has an obscenely nice telescope for a 4 year old (thanks uncle Steve), and even has a star named after her. She has a huge space map, just like the one I had when I was a kid, and several space books. So it only made sense that I really pushed the limits tonight, and stayed up until 3:45 am to watch the blood moon eclipse. I've learned that late nights are just part of East coast living lifestyle. Thankfully I found a quiet little spot to park, kick back with sunflower seeds and twirlers, and watch the moon work it's magic!
