Second Season: Day 89

Mother's Day

Being away from home on this day is so, so hard. I miss my mom, my family, my husbands moms, and my little one. Thankfully, Kyle had a special day planned for us even with a ball game on the schedule. Last night, we had a fun night out with our friends, and this morning he woke me up with so delicious breakfast in bed. Perfection! I dropped him off at the field, and came home to pack our bags for our "surprise" trip this afternoon. He had a fine game, and hurried out of the club house so we could hit the road. As soon as he walked out of the locker room he presented me with his pink Mother's Day bat and a small box from Adelyn. Holy heart swell. Then we set our course for....Niagara Falls! When we arrived, we checked into the Red Coach Inn, a little bread and breakfast still in it's original location 1500 feet from the falls almost 100 years after it was built. We could see the falls from the lobby and waiting to get our key made me itchy with excitement and anticipation! The restaurant and suites still boast most of the original architecture and our suite was historically, yet classically, decorated. We dropped our bags and dashed across the road to see the falls. And they were breathtaking! We enjoyed a so nummy dinner, and watched the Mother's Day firework show and light display over the water from American soil. It was prefect. I feel so spoiled and honored, and I truly appreciate all the sweet words I received today. To mother's everywhere, whether your babies grew in your belly or your heart, be blessed!

Addie picked out a pretty October Opal set in silver.
