Second Season: Day 111

As most of you know, oh so well, off days are my favorite days. When we came to Binghamton we were surprised to find that players in the Eastern League get one off day about every two weeks. Pleasantly surprised. We missed three off days in the transition from the Angels to the Mets and from Savannah to Florida last season. It was tough for us, especially when those leagues did an off day about every three weeks. We had about seven off days from April to September last year.

It was a great lesson for us though, a lesson to seize the day. Today we grabbed a bite at a fun local joint called "The Spot." Afterwards we picked up our friend Alex for some mini golf. Let the record show that I made three hole in ones, more than both the boys, I'm thinking I might be able to go pro in mini golf. We dropped off Alex and headed out to the lake about five miles from our house. It was a gorgeous sunny day, and the water was refreshing. We spent the late afternoon and evening kicked back on the beach with respective copies of "The Closer," and hands held tight.
