Second Season: Day 6

Waking up in New Orleans wasn't quite as amazing as I expected. It's loud and smelly there. We mutually decided we'd scrap any further Bourbon street adventures. So we had a hearty breakfast and hit the road running. We drove through to Tallahassee where we met our friend Steve for burgers at a local FSU hot spot. They were scrumptious! And we sat by the FSU Football poster displaying the game with University of Idaho. Although it was an unfortunate blow out, it was interesting to sit down to eat somewhere where our home states university was the slated opponent. We chatted with Steve before hitting the road and driving all the way through to our friends home, for the night. Kendall was there to greet us, Adam was asleep preparing for his first day of big league camp. We made it, 3734 miles. It's spring training time.

Second Season: Day 2

Today we conquered the Blue Mountains and the Rockies....never mind Lewis and Clarke did it with out a heated Mazda3 and Uggs. Our Pacific Northwest is beyond stunning, and we drove through Washington, Oregon, Southern Idaho and in to Utah today. We were blessed to be warmly invited into the home of Kyle's amazing host family from his very first season. (I seriously don't know how my husband gets the best of the best host families each and every time). Jonathan, Leanne, Katlyn and Kody welcomed us into their beautiful home. We giggled, chatted, met the Schwann man, ordered and ate far too many sweets, and stayed up a wee bit late. It's such a blessing to call amazing people like them our family. Thank you guys so much!
