Second Season: Day 48

We made it!

After ten grueling hours. Alright, they weren't grueling because I love driving through parts of the country we've never seen before. The last two hours were rough as we were faced with snow, ice and semi drivers who were in too much of a rush. We passed lots of slide off accidents and collisions. Due to our impressive gas economy (I really can't get over 500 miles on a $40 tank), we didn't have to stop nearly as much as our band wagon cohorts, so we found ourselves leading the pack as the day wore on. Fortunately we were able to let our friends know where accidents and icey patches were that we passed, we even made it into Binghamton before the highways were shut down. Our land lord is precious, and met us at the home with keys, farm grown eggs and home made jam. She'd even stopped by this morning to turn the heat on so we'd be toasty when we arrived! The house is awesome, more to come on that tomorrow but we made it safe and sound, and I'm ready for some shut eye!
