The trek home begins. Just not as early in the day as we had originally planned. See, when you win a division Championship people want to celebrate until the wee hours of the morning. The boys celebrated in the club house and enjoyed the typical champagne and beer showers. (So stinky). Afterwards the fans and town of Binghamton wanted to celebrate at a local bar called Dillingers. We made it to bed at 4 am this morning! I was up at 8:30 to finish packing up our car, and for the first time in over half a dozen moves, all of our things fit in the car with out a struggle. (If you live in Bingo, I suggest checking out the Goodwill for some great goodies in the next few days).
Behold, a disheveled locker room of Champions the morning after celebrations, and our last stop on our way out of town.
Today we drove straight through to Gettysburg Battlefield, a mere 221 miles, before stopping and touring the battlefield for a couple hours. Then we hopped in the car and continued on to Fayetteville, NC another 394 miles. We were very ready to get into bed and rest our eyes and bodies for the night.
