Today we started off towards the Borghese Museum bright and early. Passed the American Embassy on the way...

Unfortunately the Borghese does not allow photos inside but I took a few outside before the rain started pouring down.

Inside was great. My favorites were the Rape of Proserpine, where you can see the indentations in the skin, and Apollo and Daphne. Both by Bernini.
After the Museum Borghese we walked back down town to do a little shopping. I finally found lingerie in a well recognized Italian undergarment store. They had only four C cup bra's in the whole place, and nothing bigger, I had to settle with small (but adorable) selection. Boob jobs and curvy women must not exist here! We did all of our little gift shopping today. Then headed towards the Piazza Venezia to catch a hop on hop off bus.

| Victor Emmanuel Monument in the Plaza |
The hop on hop off bus was cool. Especially since it was raining it allowed us to see sites that were less demanding, with informative commetary.

| Statue of the first Prime Minister of Roma |
 |
| Obelisk in Piazza de Popolo |
We found one more place we wanted to stop by and hopped off.

| Temples of the Forum Boarium |
 |
| Arch of Janus |
 |
| Theater of Marcellus |
After our walk past these ruins we grabbed lunch and then headed for Ara Pacis (the Altar of Peace)

| Mausoleum of Augustus |
We finished off our last stop at the Monument of Augustus, the first Roman emperor is buried.
Today was busy in Roma! They are celebrating their 150th year of Unity. Tons of people were out, and lot's of school aged children. There were blockades for camera crews, and an embassy meeting inside the Victor Emmanuel monument. Polizia were every where, and a flame was burning for the Unknown Soldier.

We leave tomorrow morning after one more nummy breakfast at the hotel.
PS: I miss my boy like crazy...this is the longest we've been apart since thanksgiving/summer time....and even then we could text/call consistently! Check out facebook though, I'd say HE misses ME more :)
