Agents and Goodies
Today rocked for several reasons. First of all, I woke up in our "usual" bed. Usual can be a little intangible when your bed has changed five times in less than three months. But hey, this is the current winner in little Port St. Lucie and I couldn't have been happier to wake up in a room that someone clearly put some effort into decorating. Cutely decorated might I add, it's summer beach housy.
The second reason, was a visit to the Jensen Beach produce stand. Holy moly, it's the hugest produce stand I've seen (and I'm from the county folks). They have every fruit imaginable, fresh as can be, and for dirt cheap prices. They also carry some of my favorite veggies: peppers, asparagus and mushrooms. I left with a cantaloupe, two red peppers, a honey dew melon, a bag of cherries, a nectarine and two apples for eleven bucks. 'Nuff said.
Notably, I also made huge strides in wedding planning. So huge that I celebrated with Jillian Michaels Power Yoga after. No shame. I've been seriously behind in wedding planning, mostly because my only goal for the day is to say "I do," to the man that's always treated me better than just "right," and that I love so much. After discussions with my maid of honor, all three of my moms, my sweet Michelle and my sister-in-law to be, some wedding ground is getting seriously covered. Flowers, baby pictures, decorations, food, flower girls dresses. CHECK!

But most excitingly, in my opinion, Kyle's first goodies from our newly signed agent arrived. Hurrah! This guy is literally awesome, he has watched every one of Kyle's games since he initially contacted us. He sends Kyle pep texts just about every night. Most agents have too many clients to stay in such close touch, but this is what we love about this guy! Agents give their clients a "budget," every season in which they can spend on discounted athletic clothes and baseball supplies. This budget is straight out of the agents pocket, and we don't pay him back until we make it to the big leagues. Agents have connections with sporting good companies so most items are heavily discounted, if not free. Which means that "budget," goes a long way. Especially for us, as we know friends with New Balance and Under Armour so we've already been blessed with some additional free gear. Kyle got a new pair of cleats, finally. (The current pair were sent to him last season from Washington State University, our alum baseball program has provided Kyle with a pair of cleats, batting gloves, glove and sliders each season thus far.) The agent also sent new sliders, which Kyle was also in desperate need of. And finally, new batting gloves. The agent is currently working on a new glove, which thankfully will be free, and comes with a possible endorsement opprotunity. Kyle then can pick an additional glove, so that he has three. Looks like I'll be shopping for a carry on...to fill with gloves!
